How to Submit

Send your 600 px wide "saved for web" layout in .jpg format to service@scrapbookgraphics.com with COVER GIRL in the Subject Line by 11:59 p.m. Eastern on Sunday, October 18th. Please name your image file in the following format: lastname_firstname_brieftitle.jpg. Please include a complete list of credits with your submission. You may submit more than one layout. Please direct any questions to service@scrapbookgraphics.com.

Layout Requirements

Layouts must be created completely (100%) from currently available designs for sale at Scrapbookgraphics.com. No blog freebies or Studio Crew giveaways may be used. No designs from former Studio Girls may be used. You may submit layouts previously posted in online galleries including pages already featured as our Page of the Week; however, scraplifts will not be considered and we also ask that you not announce to the public that you have submitted a particular layout for consideration. Although we are not looking for specific themes or topics, we reserve the right to give preference to seasonal pages where appropriate.

Compensation

From this call, three layouts will be selected to appear on the front page of the Scrapbookgraphics web site, one per month, beginning November 1, 2009. Page designers will be asked to participate as a Studio Temp (guest Creative Team member) for the month that their layout appears on the front page of the site. In this capacity they will receive access to Studio Girl designs for a one-month period, will be subscribed to the Studio Crew e-list, and will be expected to participate in various scrap-related activities at the site. Selectees will also receive an "I’m a Cover Girl @ Scrapbookgraphics" blinkie as well as a "Studio Temp" blinkie to sport in their gallery/forum signatures where allowed. To be eligible for the $25.00 payment, selectees must have a current PayPal account.

Eligibility

Contest is not open to current Studio Crew members, but is open to all other members of the digital scrapbooking community with a valid PayPal account, including individual Studio Girl creative team members.

Judging

Judging of entries will be based on creativity, ingenuity, technique and overall appeal. We are looking for layouts that make our eyes light up, that make us want to scrap, that make us go, "WOW! They did that digitally!?!" Layouts will be judged anonymously (file names will be changed before distribution to judges) by the Studio Crew and Studio Girls. Decisions of the contest judges are final. Selectees will be announced on the Scrapbookgraphics blog, but the actual layouts will not be revealed until the selectee’s feature month. Selectees will be asked to keep their selected layouts a secret until their feature month. In the case of layouts already posted in galleries, we ask that selectees not announce selection of the particular page as a Cover Girl featured layout.

Selectees

Selectees will be contacted by October 25, 2009, assigned a month for their layout to be featured (either November 2009, December 2009 or January 2010) and will then receive a set of Guidelines for Studio Temps, as well as their $25.00 via PayPal. A few days prior to the selectee’s feature month, they will be contacted again with a coupon code to use in the Scrapbookgraphics store and will be subscribed to the Studio Crew e-list. At this time they will receive their blinkies to use in their signatures and will begin their one-month Studio Temp gig.
