      Maya

My name is Janice Dye-Szucs aka Maya. I live in the greater Toronto area with my wonderful husband Mick and “my three sons”. Daniel, Brendan are now young adults and Mikaiah is a happy little five year old that keeps our household filled with laughter and joy.

I have been designing scrapbooking graphics since the birth of digital scrapbooking have been operating this site since 2003. What a blessing it is to be able to follow my bliss right into a career where I can work from home. I share my home office with Kai who has his craft and activity desk parked right beside my own. He has been on the computer since he was two, so I expect he will be graduating to Photoshop any time now.

I have always been creatively expressive from music through to art and I have a degree in Creative Advertising. I have been published in all of the major scrapbooking magazines, many Memory Makers idea books, supplied all of the graphics for the CD/Book Combo "Layouts for Digital Scrapbooking" and I am a licensed artist for Nova Development. I am also a member of the Shutterfly Scrapbooking Advisory Team.

Besides owning Scrapbookgraphics.com, I also own and operate digitalartquirks.com (with the help of some wonderful quirky artists and friends) which is a community site for the “alterantive” digital artist. I love altered art, collage and mixed media styles and Digital Art Qurks is meant to inspire the digital interetation of these styles.

My style is very eclectic and I am always taking creative risks in an effort to take the path less travelled. I love to use lots of texture in my designs and I strive to achieve realistic results in the creation of all of my elements. In my studio you will find kits that are perfect for heritage scrapping, contemporary layouts, and I even have a large collection of altered art goodies to keep the Quirky Artist happy.

I have never felt creatively blocked. Inspiration is everywhere and I am bombarded with wonderful ideas constantly. My cup overfloweth with inspiration. It’s time, and energy that I could use another helping of...oh, and possibly another pair of hands.
