Hi, my name is Birgit Kerr. I usually go by that name around the forums these days, but in my pre-designer days I was also known as Phos4us.

I live in Arizona with my husband and boy/girl twins, Max and Anna, born in 2005. If you are familiar with my gallery, you're also very familiar with Max and Anna since they are the subject of many, many of my layouts.

Ever since I can remember I have been into anything arts and crafts. BT (before twins), I was always creating something, but all that stopped in the first few months of being a mommy to somewhat preemie twins! I got my first glimpse of digital layouts on the twinboard I was frequenting at the time, actually.

Digital scrapbooking only really started to take off for me when the twins finally started to sleep at more regular intervals at night in July 2006 and I wanted to make a First Year baby book for the kids.
I was somewhat familiar with PSP but I had used it more for photo cropping than anything else. I have since also learned PS and tend to scrap and design in both PSP and PS CS. I wouldn't want to give up either program, since both have unique features that I wouldn't want to be without!

For me digi scrapping turned out to be the ideal form of scrapping and I got addicted to it pretty much straight away.

I was quite amazed to find that this is something I thoroughly enjoy and by February 2007, I became a digital scrapbook designer. I still can't believe that I am lucky enough to have a profession centered around something that is also my hobby and that allows me to stay home with my twins!

My style? I'm not sure really - it can be grungy, it can be whimsical, it can be funky, it can be subdued, it can be bright .... it can be messy and involved and it can be clean and simple! It really depends on what inspires me at the time, on my surroundings and probably also where "I am at" at the time! And every once in a while I like to mix it all up and try something completely new to me, so you never know!
Hopefully that means though that I have a little bit for every taste!
